Deputy Commander of the Aerospace Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, Brigadier General Majid Mousavi, said on Sunday, that Iranian drones are capable of continuous flight for more than 24 hours.
Brigadier General Mousavi’s remarks came during the opening ceremony of the exhibition of the achievements of the Aerospace Force of the Revolutionary Guards at the Museum of the Islamic Revolution in Qom.
The Iranian military commander confirmed that his country is concealing the range of its drones on the orders of His Eminence, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, but we succeeded in reaching a flight period of more than 24 hours.
He pointed out that the missile exercises conducted by the Iranian army, recently, were a simulation of attacking targets, such as the nuclear base in Israel, aircraft carriers and US air bases, pointing out that these supposed targets were precisely hit during these maneuvers.
Brigadier General Majid Mousavi explained, “In light of the revolutionary leader’s insight into the expected threat and enemy, we have been able to increase the range of missiles to 2,000 km, and we have a variety of missiles, which have the ability to attack all targets in the region from a range of 180 km to 2,000 km in the field of defending our land”.
The deputy commander of the Aerospace Force in the Iranian Revolutionary Guard stressed that his country has a set of reconnaissance and warning equipment in the form of many and varied radars, with a range of more than a thousand km, stressing that it is capable of monitoring, reconnaissance and detection of the presence of the enemy in the region.
Brigadier General Mousavi continued, “The enemy forced us to respect us because he saw our capabilities and was certain about them, and that our defensive capabilities made the enemy understand his inability to commit what he wanted because he would pay a heavy price”.
In a related context, the commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Navy, Admiral Ali Reza Tangsiri, announced on Saturday, that “the ships of the Revolutionary Guards are equipped with cruise missiles with a range of 2,000 kilometers”.
Tangsiri said, in a statement to the Iranian Tasnim news agency that “there is a new naval mission for the Revolutionary Guards in the Gulf of Aden,” adding that “12 vertical launch missiles of the type “Nawab” were installed on the Soleimani ship, and 4 on board the Zulfiqar ship, and it will increase.
The number of ships equipped with these missiles.
He stressed that “4 ships bearing the names of the martyr Sayyad Shirazi, the martyr Hasan Bagheri, the martyr fighter Abu Mahdi al Muhandis, and the martyr Rais Ali Dilawari will be unveiled”.
The former Iranian Defense Minister, Brigadier General Amir Hatami, recently announced that it has been achieved to manufacture a cruise missile with a range of 1,000 km in the name of the martyr Abu Mahdi al Muhandis, and a ballistic missile with a range of 1,400 km in the name of the martyr Qassem Soleimani.
