Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif confirmed his country’s readiness to “develop relations with Saudi Arabia and the UAE on the basis of mutual respect”.

Zarif, during a press conference with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov, in Moscow on Tuesday, described the Iranian relations with Russia by strategy, noting that the ongoing dialogue with friendly countries in the current situation is necessary, according to the Iranian “Mehr” agency.

After leaving Moscow, the Iranian foreign minister wrote a tweet in which he said he had delivered an important message to Russian President Vladimir Putin and also agreed with the Russian foreign minister to finalize the long-term cooperation agreement with Russia.

He added: “We have one viewpoint on the nuclear agreement and the need to adhere to international law. 

We agreed to finalize the long-term comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement.

On Tuesday, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif held talks with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov on the nuclear agreement and regional and international developments, after presenting a message from President Hassan Rouhani to President Vladimir Putin.
