The Yemeni Ansar Allah group (Houthis) announced on Saturday that it had carried out a military operation using a hypersonic ballistic missile, the Palestine 2, by bombing a military target in central Israel.

In a statement, Ansar Allah group said, “We carried out a military operation against a military target of the Israeli enemy south of the occupied Jaffa area (near Tel Aviv)”.

The statement continued, “The operation was carried out with a hypersonic ballistic missile of the ‘Palestine 2’ type,” confirming that the missile reached its target, while the interception system in Israel failed to intercept it.

On the other hand, the Israeli army said on Saturday that it intercepted a missile launched from Yemen.

The Israeli army said in a statement that air raid sirens were activated in several areas in Israel after the rocket was launched.

On Friday, the Israeli military reported that a missile launched from Yemen had been fired at northern Israel, and that a second missile had been intercepted before it reached Israeli territory.

On Friday evening, Channel 13 reported that since the Israeli army resumed its war of extermination on the Gaza Strip on March 18, the Houthis have launched 25 missiles towards Israel, including 3 towards the north of the country.

For its part, the Ansar Allah group said on Friday that it had bombed the Ramat David Air Base east of the Haifa area in northern Israel with a hypersonic ballistic missile, hitting it, while Tel Aviv said it had been able to intercept it.

The Yemeni group also reiterated its continued support for the Gaza Strip until Israel stops its war of extermination against the Gaza Strip and lifts the siege on the Palestinians.
