Ukrainian authorities announced on Friday that 40 people were injured in Russian drone attacks on the eastern Ukrainian city of Kharkov.

The head of the Kharkov region’s military administration, Oleg Synegubov, said in a statement on his Telegram account that the Russians launched drone attacks on the city of Kharkov on Thursday night.

Sinegubov noted that the attacks targeted various neighborhoods in the city and, according to preliminary information, resulted in 40 injuries, pointing out that the number of infected people may rise.

For his part, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, in a video message during a meeting with army commanders, highlighted the situation on the front.

Zelensky explained that the Ukrainian army is continuing its operations in the Russian regions of Kursk and Belgorod.

He added that the meeting also discussed the development of Ukrainian military air capabilities.

He stressed the need to accelerate the process of producing ballistic missiles locally.

Zelensky accused Moscow of continuing to reject the US ceasefire proposal, saying, “Russia rejects a complete and permanent ceasefire, and all allies are fed up with these Russian maneuvers”.
