The German army intends to equip its tanks with an Israeli protection system
The Israeli Ministry of Defense announced that Germany had signed an agreement with Israel to supply Israeli-made Trophy active protection systems for its fleet of tanks, according to Bloomberg News.
The Trophy system, developed by the Israeli company Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, protects armored vehicles from a combination of anti-tank missiles and rocket fire.
The system automatically destroys any missile that enters its range, and it also triggers an audio-visual warning to the crew on the screen of the vehicle commander.
