Tehran sent its answers regarding the US response to the draft nuclear agreement with the aim of concluding the negotiations
The Iranian Foreign Ministry said that Dhahran had delivered the response to the US reply message about Iran’s proposals in the final draft of the nuclear agreement, and the Foreign Ministry said that Tehran’s response included a constructive approach aimed at ending the nuclear negotiations.
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian said today, “My colleagues are examining the proposed text on the nuclear agreement carefully and quickly and preparing the answer to present it to the negotiating parties”.
Abdollahian’s statement came during a telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, where the two sides exchanged views on the most important issues of concern to the two countries, as well as the latest developments in the negotiations to lift the embargo.
The Foreign Minister emphasized the foreign policy of Mr. Raisi’s government in prioritizing relations with neighbors.
Official media also quoted Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani as saying that Iran had sent a response based on US proposals related to reviving the 2015 nuclear agreement concluded by Tehran and world powers.
“The text that Iran sent has a constructive method aimed at concluding the negotiations,” the Iranian Radio and Television Corporation reported, quoting Kanaani, without giving further details.
The report stated that Iran’s response was sent to the European Union’s foreign policy chief Josep Borrell, who is responsible for coordinating the talks, and he did not mention any further details.
After 16 months of indirect talks between Tehran and Washington, Borrell said on August 8 that the European Union had put forward a final offer to solve the crisis of reviving the nuclear deal.
