Syrian government military build-up near Idlib

Sources in northern Syria has indicated, that the Syrian government forces have worked over the past few weeks to reinforce their military positions near the Idlib governorate.

The sources pointed out that the Syrian military buildup suggests preparing for a military operation in the governorate, specifically in its south, which means that there is a possibility to open the battle to control the Latakia-Aleppo highway known as the M4.

It is noteworthy that Russia started conducting its patrols jointly with Turkey on the mentioned road.

Meanwhile, the Syrian army has also pushed military reinforcements to Deir Al Zour, which is witnessing the return of ISIS terrorist activities.
