“Sham Liberation Organization” handed Turkey its conditions for the Idlib deal

Sources at the Syrian opposition said that the “Sham Liberation Organization” (formerly known as Al Nusra front), handed Ankara its conditions to conclude the Idlib deal which is secure its basic interests.

The Syrian newspaper “Al Watan” quoted sources at the Syrian opposition close to armed militias in Idlib, that ” Sham Liberation Organization” is conducting a round of negotiations with Turkish military and intelligence officials on the terms of withdrawal from the international highways “M4” and “M5” Between Aleppo and Hama and Latakia, according to the Russian-Turkish agreement reached last September.

These sources pointed out that the conditions of “Sham Liberation Organization” is the end of Ankara’s pressure on the organization to resolve itself and stop the incitement of the factions loyal to the organization in the areas of control in Idlib, in addition to the delivery of the Turks to maintain the so called “Rescue government” of the organization, in the event of forming a joint government with the “interim government”, which is run by the Syrian opposition coalition.

The “Sham Liberation Organization” also requires the administration of Turkey for the international routes without Russian intervention, and the withdrawal of elements of the organization 7 kilometers instead of 10 kilometers, as contained in the Sochi agreement.

The sources considered bringing the “Sham Liberation Organization” recently military reinforcements to the vicinity of the city of Maarat Al Nu’man, controlled by the factions of the “National Liberation Front” backed by Turkey, as blackmail to Turkey and its factions.

For its part, Syrian opposition sites confirmed that the areas surrounding the Damascus-Aleppo road are witnessing a military alert initiated by “Sham Liberation Organization” by bringing the crowds to the vicinity of the city of Maarat Al Nu’man and the Darat Azza at the Western countryside of Aleppo.

The Syrian opposition website site enabbaladi.net posted quoting a source close to the “Free Syrian Army” said on Monday, that “Sham Liberation Organization” seeks to complete control of the international road by directing its attention to the city of Maarat Al Nu’man, which led to a similar reaction by group of “Ahrar Al Sham” and “Nour Eddin Zenki” in that region.

The M4 and M5 routes are expected to open at the end of this year to boost trade in the region under the Sochi agreement.
