Russia will reveal Western weapons captured in the front at the 9 May Victory Day parade
The Russian Ministry of Defense announced the evacuation of the first American-made Abrams tank from the city of Avdiivka, where it was transported to the capital, Moscow, after Russian forces took control of the city.
Alexander Savchuk, head of the press center of the Center forces, said: “Our sodliers were able to successfully transport the tank, and it will soon be displayed to the public at the spoils of the Russian military operation exhibition in Moscow”.
This development comes after Russian forces recently announced the destruction of two Abrams tanks using FPV drones on the Avdiivka axis.
Besides the US tank, Russian forces also captured German-made Leopard tanks, which are considered among the best tanks in the world.
According to US reports, the Ukrainian forces lost at least 30 Leopard tanks and 5 Abrams tanks during the last two months.
Cheap Russian drones appear to have demonstrated their effectiveness against expensive Western tanks.
The reports added that the Russian drones, which cost about $500 to produce each one, constitute a negligible investment compared to the cost of an Abrams tank, which amounts to about $10 million.
