Russia and Saudi Arabia: plans to conclude a military cooperation agreement with
The Russian government has ordered the foreign and defense ministries to conduct negotiations with Saudi Arabia with the aim of concluding a new military cooperation agreement between the two countries.
The draft agreement, published by the government on February 19, states that it includes cooperation in the following directions:
Exchanging views and data on issues of mutual interest in the military field, fighting terrorism, fighting piracy, troop training, military education, culture and sports, military medicine, military history, relief operations at sea, and other directions of cooperation agreed upon between the two parties.
It is assumed that this agreement will be implemented by organizing visits by delegations and experts.
Mutual training of military cadres and the establishment of joint training and exercises.
The agreement stipulates that both parties will bear their expenses under this agreement, in case they fail to reach additional agreements in this regard.
