On Tuesday, Israeli media reported that a battalion in the Israeli army announced its rebellion from military service, in protest of the transfer of its commander.

Walla website stated, soldiers of the Israeli 51st Battalion belongs to the Golani Brigade in the IDF declared their rebellion and laid down their weapons at the headquarters of the military unit.

The soldiers of the Israeli battalion laid down their military weapons in protest against the dismissal of its commander and his replacement with a company commander from the Paratroopers Brigade, which is an infantry brigade in the Israeli army.

The soldiers of the Israeli battalion indicated that the transfer of their military commander was the straw that broke the camel’s back and fed up, as they left the headquarters of their military unit and left their weapons, in protest against the transfer of their military commander from the Golani Brigade, which is an elite infantry brigade within the Israeli army, to the Paratroopers Brigade.

A group of Israeli officers had held a dialogue with the rebel soldiers in order to return them to military service, at a time when an Israeli military commander explained that the transfer of the company commander from his position was due to his unsuitability for the military position.

The Walla website described the state of the military mutiny of more than 50 soldiers, which is the number of the Israeli 51st Battalion of the Golani Brigade in the Israeli army, as having not happened for many years.

Walla website quoted the Israeli army spokesman as saying that the military rebellion incident is a serious incident that is not in line with the values ​​of the Israeli army at a time when the incident is being investigated and will be dealt with firmly.
