Netanyahu: We killed hundreds of Palestinians in the West Bank and there are more on the way
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the Israeli army and security services have killed hundreds of Palestinians in the West Bank since October 7, vowing to kill more.
This came when he met, on Tuesday evening, with soldiers and commanders of the 43rd Battalion active in the West Bank, according to the official Israeli Broadcasting Authority.
Netanyahu said, “We’re in a battle in which we won’t give up victory… We must achieve victory… To achieve this, we must pay attention to other fronts, and this (the West Bank) isn’t an important arena, but it’s extremely important”.
He added, “500 terrorists have already been eliminated here (the West Bank), including today in Jenin, and there are more on the way”.
He continued, “I know that you are carrying a burden, and I ask employers to take this into consideration first, and not to fire reservists… This is terrible”.
He continued, “If there are students among you, I also want you to know that I have met with university presidents, and I’ll meet with them again so that they can provide facilities… You’re on a sacred mission”.
At dawn on Tuesday, an Israeli special force stormed the Ibn Sina Hospital in Jenin, in the northern West Bank, disguised as doctors and nurses, and assassinated 3 Palestinians.
The al Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas movement in Jenin, mourned on its Telegram channel, “a group of Jenin’s heroes who rose at dawn Tuesday after a cowardly assassination carried out by a special force of Zionist undercover”.
Warnings are mounting in Israel about the deteriorating situation in the West Bank, as a result of the policies of the government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during the war on the Gaza Strip, where the army intensified its raids and arrest campaigns in Palestinian cities and towns, which resulted in confrontations that led to the deaths and injuries of Palestinians.
Since the outbreak of the war, Israel has killed at least 380 Palestinians in the West Bank and arrested 6,390.
