Netanyahu: Attack on Tehran is aimed at removing the existential threat to the regime

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Israel and the US have launched an operation to remove what he called the existential threat posed by the regime in Iran, calling on Israelis to be patient in the coming days.

This came in a video speech by Netanyahu, coinciding with the start of a joint aggression with the United States against targets in Iran.

“A short while ago, Israel and the United States began a process to remove the existential threat posed by the terrorist regime in Iran,” Netanyahu said.

“I thank our great friend President Donald Trump for his historic leadership,” he added.

Netanyahu went on saying: “For 47 years, the ayatollah’s regime has been shouting “Death to Israel, death to America… He has shed our blood, killed many Americans, and committed massacres against his own people”.

“This murderous terrorist regime must not be armed with nuclear weapons that enable it to threaten all of humanity,” he said.

Netanyahu added, “Our joint operation will create the necessary conditions for the brave Iranian people to determine their own destiny”.

“The time has come for all components of the people in Iran – Persians, Kurds, Azeris, Baluchis, and Ahwazis—to take the burden of tyranny off them and bring a free and peace-loving Iran,” he added.

In his speech, Netanyahu addressed the Israelis, calling on them to abide by the instructions of the home front.

“In the coming days, in Operation Lion’s Roar, we will all need patience and fortitude,” he said.
