Iran’s Revolutionary Guards announced on Saturday the start of the first wave of large-scale missile and drone attacks towards Israel, in response to the US-Israeli strikes against Iran.

The Israeli army announced the observation of a barrage of rockets fired from Iran towards Israel, while Israeli media reported that explosions were heard in the north, and the firing of rockets towards Tel Aviv was observed.

Sirens sounded in large areas of northern including Haifa, amid a major security alert.

In turn, Iran’s Noor News Agency confirmed the firing of dozens of ballistic missiles towards Israel.

A senior Iranian official said that Iran is sending a clear warning to Israel to prepare for what is to come, stressing that Iran’s response will be public and that there are no red lines “after the US-Israeli aggression against Tehran”.

“All American and Israeli assets and interests in the Middle East have become a legitimate target,” the Iranian official added, noting that the next phase is open to anything possible, including scenarios that were not previously on the table.

The Iranian official described the incident as a joint US-Israeli sticks, stressing that Tehran wasn’t surprised by it, and that it has a complex response with no time limit, warning that the war that has begun, as he described it, will have broad and long-term repercussions.

The Iranian official rejected any calls for what he called on “containing the aggression” or “discipline and non-response”, considering the demand to do so “rejected and purely dreams”.
