Michael Gove, the minister responsible for withdrawal from the European Union in the government of British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, said on Tuesday that there is a possibility that trade talks will end within the exit from the Union without reaching an agreement, which is the last nightmare of the five-year-old Brexit crisis.

“We have intensified the negotiation process, but it is important for the European Union to fulfill its responsibilities as well,” an adviser to the Duchy of Lancaster Gove told ITV.

In response to a question about whether the scenario of not reaching an agreement is closer than anyone would admit, he said, “I certainly think that there is a possibility that we may not reach a conclusion through negotiation, and that is why it is important for the business sector to prepare for all possibilities, but I really want to reach an agreement and I think we can secure that”.
