As the US elections approach, Russian former president and current Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev has issued alarming warnings, suggesting that a victory for Republican candidate Donald Trump wouldn’t help end the war in Ukraine.

He said that any attempt by Trump to end the conflict could put him at risk of assassination.

According to Medvedev, the results of the US elections won’t affect the Russian position, noting that the candidates’ views reflect a bipartisan consensus on the need to defeat Russia.

He also criticized Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, describing her as “stupid and inexperienced,” and considered that the country will actually be ruled by senior ministers and aides, along with the Obama family behind the scenes.

Medvedev added that Trump, who uses clichés like “I’ll offer a deal” or “I’ve a good relationship with so-and-so,” will find himself forced to play by the rules.

He stressed that he won’t be able to end the war in Ukraine quickly, noting that his attempt could lead to a fate similar to that of US President John F. Kennedy, who was assassinated in 1963.

Medvedev also stressed that the main focus in Washington’s calculations is how much money the new administration will get to support the war, reflecting the close relationship between the American system and the military-industrial complex.

Under these circumstances, Medvedev considered that continuing the destruction of the Nazi regime in Kiev is the best option to make November 5 enjoyable for the candidates.

Trump has repeatedly claimed that if he wins the election, he will be able to end the conflict in Ukraine within 24 hours, emphasizing his good relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

At the same time, Russia has sent signals to the West that it will respond to any support provided by the United States and its allies to Ukraine in the form of long-range missiles, while NATO has claimed that North Korea has sent troops to western Russia.
