Lebanon condemns Israel’s use of its airspace to bomb Syria and submits a complaint to the Security Council

The Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs denounced, Monday, Israel’s use of the country’s airspace to bomb Syria, announcing that it had submitted a complaint to the Security Council against Israeli violations.

The Syrian news agency SANA, announced that 3 soldiers were killed and 3 others were wounded as a result of an Israeli aggression targeting the governorates of Damascus countryside and Tartous.

The Lebanese Foreign Ministry said: “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants strongly condemns the recent Israeli attack on Syria, and strongly denounces the Israeli enemy’s use of Lebanese airspace to bomb Syrian territory,” warning against “the consequences of this aggressive behavior, and the continued violation of Lebanese sovereignty, in flagrant violation of international law and treaties”.

The Lebanese Foreign Ministry announced that Lebanon would “submit a complaint to the Security Council, asking it to seriously intervene to put an end to these ongoing Israeli violations”.

On Sunday, a Syrian military source announced that 3 soldiers were killed and 3 others were wounded as a result of an Israeli missile attack from Lebanese airspace that targeted some points in the governorates of Damascus countryside and Tartous.
