Khamenei advisor: Trump deceived us and directly threatened to kill me if I didn’t leave Iran within 12 hours

Ali Larijani, advisor to Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, said that the reason for changing the course of the war was Iran’s missile capabilities, stressing that his country’s victory in the confrontation demonstrated its capabilities and changed the political and security equations.

Larijani made remarks on the recent developments in the region and Israel’s defeat at the hands of the Axis of Resistance on the sidelines of the funeral of Major General Hossein Salami.

Larijani said, “The Islamic Republic’s victory in this confrontation not only demonstrated the strength of the Islamic Republic of Iran, but also changed the political and security equations of the West… The reason for the change in the course of the war is the missile capabilities that Iran has demonstrated in recent days”.

He added, “This phase of the confrontation ended with the victory of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the Zionist entity entered the arena with force, but in the end it was forced to beg… After 12 days of aggression against our country and the crushing responses of the Iranian armed forces, the Zionist regime was forced to accept a ceasefire”.

He stressed that “many Western experts acknowledge that they have problems with the Zionist entity, and based on this, they have turned to the Americans to move the issue toward peace through mediation, although they present the situation differently”.

He spoke about the threats he faced during the war, saying, “They called me and told me you had 12 hours to leave or we would kill you… America and Israel assumed the Iranian leadership could be destroyed within five or six days, and Netanyahu’s main goal was the surrender of the Iranian people”.

He also stated that “Trump was deceitful when he said that Israel might attack Iran, but not soon… Washington used negotiations as a deception, and there was coordination between it and Israel to attack us”.

He pointed to the role of the Iranian people in this confrontation,” saying, “The Iranian people are victorious in this confrontation, and they will continue their victories in other issues”.

He also said, “Israel intended to target Khamenei after its intention to target the heads of the three branches of government during a meeting”.
