Israelis injured after rockets fall in central Israel and Hezbollah bombards several locations in Israel

Two Israelis were injured, one of them moderately, on Tuesday, in a missile attack from Lebanon on central Israel, including the greater Tel Aviv area.

Sirens sounded in large areas of central Israel, including the greater Tel Aviv area, according to an Israeli army statemen.

The statement said, “Following the alerts that were activated in the areas of Gush Dan (Greater Tel Aviv), Sharon, Yarkon and Samaria (northern West Bank), a number of rockets were detected that crossed into the territory of the State of Israel from Lebanon, and some of them were intercepted”.

The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation said that 10 missiles were fired from Lebanon.

This comes amid the continuation of the most violent and extensive Israeli aggression on Lebanon since the beginning of the confrontations with Hezbollah about a year ago, which resulted in thousands of martyrs and wounded.

The Israeli ambulance service (Magen David Adom) announced that two people were injured, one of them moderately, after being hit by shrapnel from a rocket in central Israel.

“Following the sirens in the center of the country, Magen David Adom paramedics reported that a 50-year-old man was injured by shrapnel in the head, and his condition is moderate.

Also, a 31-year-old private car driver also sustained minor injuries.

The Israeli police also announced the closure of Highway No. 6 (Trans-Israel), which connects the cities, following the fall of a rocket.

The police said in a statement, “Road No. 6 is closed in both directions”.

While sirens sounded in many areas in northern Israel, Hezbollah said in a statement that it targeted the Glilot base of the 8200 Military Intelligence Unit and the Mossad headquarters located on the outskirts of Tel Aviv with Fadi 4 missiles.

On Monday evening, the Israeli army announced the establishment of a closed military zone in three settlements on the border with Lebanon, Metula, Misgav Am, and Kfar Giladi, amid reports of its preparations to carry out a ground invasion into Lebanese territory.

Although the Israeli army announced last night the start of a ground military operation in southern Lebanon, no Israeli forces have been detected invading Lebanese territory so far.

Since September 23, Israel has launched the most violent and extensive attack on Lebanon since the beginning of the confrontations with Hezbollah about a year ago, which has resulted, until Tuesday morning, in no less than 1,073 killed, including children and women, and 2,955 wounded.

While Lebanese and Palestinian factions in Lebanon, most notably Hezbollah, have been exchanging daily shelling with the Israeli army across the Blue Line separating the two sides since October 8, 2023.
