Israeli Soldiers in a video inside a Lebanese Church disrespecting the faith
In recent hours, new scenes have spread from the town of Deir Mimas in southern Lebanon, where a video was circulated of Israeli soldiers inside a church, mocking, laughing and imitating Christian wedding rituals, which sparked widespread resentment among the Lebanese.
This video came after several Israeli forces infiltrated Lebanese border villages that were severely damaged by the ongoing conflict, which brought to mind similar scenes from the Gaza Strip in recent months.
Although this video sparked widespread outrage on social media platforms, this is not the first time that Israeli soldiers have been seen tampering inside Lebanese towns.
Previously, videos have been circulated showing them raising the Israeli flag over the ruins of southern Lebanese villages.
Since the outbreak of the last war in Gaza, scenes that many have described as provocative have been repeated, whether through accounts affiliated with Israelis mocking the suffering of the people of Gaza, or questioning the number of victims resulting from Israeli raids.
In Gaza, videos have also showed of Israeli soldiers tampering with the property of homes and shops, searching through residents’ closets, and mocking their contents.
An Israeli song broadcast last December calling for “the extermination of everyone in Gaza” also sparked widespread anger, before the Israeli authorities later deleted it from their official platforms.
The debate over these actions continues, as many voices express their anger at the Israeli soldiers’ mockery of places and property in the affected areas, whether in Lebanon or Gaza, which deepens the feelings of anger and provocation among the people of the region.
