Israeli media reveals pictures of the Egyptian soldier who carried out the border operation that shook Israel


Two days after the border incident between Egypt and Israel, the first pictures emerged of the Egyptian soldier who carried out the border operation that took place on Saturday, killing three Israeli soldiers and wounding two others.

It was also revealed that the soldier was named Muhammad Salah Ibrahim, 23 years old, according to Israeli media.

He was serving in the military in the Sinai region, while singers revealed that his friends called him a painter for his hobby of drawing, and he was popular among his acquaintances, stressing that his military service would have ended soon.

While Israel is scheduled to hand over his body to his country within days.

The Egyptian military spokesman had announced the details of the operation that took place on the border with Israel, where he said that at dawn on Saturday, one of the security personnel in charge of securing the international border line chased drug smuggling elements, and during the chase he breached the security barrier and exchanged fire, which led to the death of 3 soldiers.

The Israelis and two others were wounded, in addition to the death of the Egyptian security guard during the exchange of fire.

While the Egyptian military spokesman stated that all search, inspection and insurance measures are being taken for the area, as well as taking legal measures regarding the incident.

For its part, the Israeli army said that it is investigating the circumstances of the security incident and combing the area in cooperation with the Egyptian army.

On his page on Facebook, it was the last post of the Egyptian soldier, where he wrote, “Oh Allah, as you have reformed the righteous, reform me and make me one of them”.

According to Egyptian sources, who requested anonymity, indicated that Salah and a group of his colleagues who serve on the Egyptian borders with Israel were subjected several times to insults and verbal abuse from Israeli soldiers on the other side of the borders, especially from some Israeli female soldiers, some of whom were directing obscene words in Arabic to the Egyptian soldiers, who submitted several complaints to their leadership, but their Egyptian leadership kept ordering them to remain silent and not respond.

It’s noteworthy that Egypt was the first Arab country to sign a peace treaty with Israel in 1979.
