Media reports said Israel sent messages through diplomatic channels to Lebanon and Iran that they were ready to go to the point of all-out war if the other side responded in a way that would cause serious damage to the country.

In addition, the Israel Security Agency issued extraordinary security instructions to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and government ministers in preparation for an Iranian response to the assassination of Hamas political bureau chief Ismail Haniyeh on its territory.

According to Israel’s Channel 12, any participation of Netanyahu and Israeli ministers in a mass event requires a protected space, as part of the instructions given.

Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar also issued a direct order, stating that every tour by the prime minister and ministers requires his personal approval.

According to channel 12, Israeli embassies abroad were instructed to raise the level of preparedness to face various threats, and as part of these efforts, Israeli ambassadors and diplomatic representatives were asked to lower their backs and not go to crowded places.

“The security establishment estimates that the response to the assassinations will come in the coming days, so it’s preparing for a variety of scenarios, including rocket and missile launches, drone attacks, and even attempts to breach the northern border with Lebanon,” the source added.

The escalation reached an unprecedented level in the past hours, with the announcement of the assassination of the head of Hamas’ political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, in Tehran, and the military commander of Hezbollah, Fouad Shukr, in Beirut, in less than 12 hours.
