An Israeli eyewitness said that during the attack carried out by Hamas on October 7, the Israeli army surrounded a house containing Hamas fighters and Israeli civilians, and opened fire.
The house was under heavy after it was targeted with tanks despite the presence of Israeli civilians, which led to the killing of everyone in the house.
Reports published by Israeli media on November 19 stated that a 12-year-old girl named Layl Hatzroni lost her life in a Hamas attack on a kibbutz in the Be’eri area on October 7.
Reports claimed that after the killing of her grandfather, Layl was transferred to another place, accompanied by her twin sister, Yanai, and her aunt, Ayala.
She was killed along with more than 10 people detained there, and that Hamas set fire to the building.
According to Israeli officials, the process of identifying Yanai through DNA took about two weeks, while Layl, whose body was completely burned, was identified after 6 weeks.
Commenting on the incident, which also resonated with Israeli world opinion, former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said in a post on X, that Layl was killed by the monsters of Hamas on October 7.
In turn, on November 15, an Israeli witness gave details about the day of the incident in an interview with the official Israeli Kan radio, as she was detained in the twin sisters’ house before being taken out of it.
She explained that she was being held in a house where Hamas members were present, as the house was besieged by Israeli security forces, and violent clashes took place between the two parties.
After a while, one of the Hamas members decided to surrender, who said that this member took her and they left the house.
She stated that Israeli security forces interrogated her and a Hamas member, and noted that during her three-hour interrogation, she provided Israeli officials with the number of civilians who were in the house, the location of their detention inside it, and details of what she remembered about the house.
She confirmed that the clashes were continuing during her interrogation, and stated that after about 4 hours of exchange of fire between the Israeli army and Hamas members, a tank arrived in front of the house at about 7:30 local time.
She added, “I said to myself, why are they shooting at the house with tanks? I asked the people next to me why they were shooting? They told me that shooting was being fired to destroy the walls in order to cleanse the house of Hamas”.
