Israel announced, on Monday, that it is examining a list it received overnight of the names of the fourth batch of its prisoners whom Hamas intends to release today as part of the exchange deal.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office said in a statement, “Discussions are taking place about a list that was received during the night hours and is now being examined in Israel”.

He added: “We’ll announce other information when possible”.

The fourth and final exchange of Israeli prisoners for Palestinian prisoners in Israeli prisons is scheduled to take place on Monday.

By completing the operation on Monday, Israel released 150 Palestinian prisoners from its prisons, in exchange for Hamas releasing 50 Israeli civilians, all of them women and minors, as part of a temporary truce agreement for a period of 4 days that can be extended, which included the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip.

Vigorous contacts are being made, through Qatar, Egypt, and the United States, in an attempt to extend the humanitarian truce for additional days, after it reaches its final day on Monday.

On Sunday evening, Netanyahu expressed Israel’s readiness to extend the temporary truce for additional days according to the formula for every additional day in exchange for the release of 10 Israeli prisoners in Gaza, and 3 Palestinian prisoners are released for every Israeli prisoner.

In addition, the Palestinian Red Crescent announced the entry of 100 aid trucks into Gaza City and the northern Gaza Strip yesterday, Sunday, in accordance with the truce between Israel and Hamas.

According to the Red Crescent statement, its crews were able to bring in aid trucks loaded with food, water, baby formula, and blankets, which reached thousands of needy citizens in Gaza City and the northern Gaza Strip.
