Israeli Chief of Staff: The war on Gaza isn’t over yet… We’ll achieve our goals
Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir said on Saturday that the war on the Gaza Strip isn’t over yet.
He promised to work to shorten its duration and revealed plans to restructure the security forces and rehabilitate the Israeli army.
During a discussion held this week, Zamir revealed that Operation Iron Swords has become the longest war in Israel’s history, saying, “We’ll lead to a year of security reform and army rehabilitation”.
Israeli media quoted Zamir during the discussion as saying, “The war isn’t over, but we will work to shorten it… We’ll achieve our goals, improve our strategic situation, and make next year a year of security restructuring, easing burdens, rehabilitating, and enhancing the readiness of the army and its regular and reserve forces”.
