ISIS claims responsibility for killing two Swedes in Brussels
ISIS claimed responsibility on Tuesday for the attack that killed two Swedes in Brussels on Monday, before a match between the Belgium and Sweden national teams in the qualifiers for the 2024 European Football Cup.
ISIS said, according to what its propaganda agency “Amaq” published through jihadi accounts on Telegram, “An Islamic State fighter carried out an attack against a group of nationals of coalition countries in the Belgian capital, Brussels,” noting that the attack “comes in the context of the operations called for by the Islamic State to target Nationals of countries of the international coalition against the extremist organization.
