Iran calls on the countries of the region to form a military union away from the US and Israel
The spokesman for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC’s Khatam al Anbiya Command), Ebrahim Zolfiqari, has called for the formation of a security and military union with the countries of the region without the presence of the United States and Israel.
In a video address addressed to the Arab and Muslim world, he said that the time has come to establish a security union without the presence of the United States and Israel.
“The US and Israeli aggression against Iran reflects a new phase, and Iran stands at the forefront of defending the Islamic Ummah,” he said.
He also stressed the need not to rely on external forces and return to the teachings of the Qur’an, saying that the countries of the region don’t need distant countries to ensure their security, but rather they must establish a collective security system.
He said that the logic of rationality requires that under the system that is being formed in the region, we seek to establish a comprehensive security union, and we must unite together in order to ensure our security and move towards a collective security charter based on Islam and the Quran as a reference, axis and solid foundation.
