In Paris under US auspices… A meeting took place between the Syrian Foreign Minister and senior Israeli minister

An unprecedented meeting was held in Paris on Thursday between Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al Shaibani and Israeli Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer.

“I met with Syrians and Israelis in Paris this evening,” Tom Barrack said in a post on X.

In his post on X, Barrack said, “Our goal was dialogue and de-escalation, and that is exactly what we achieved… All parties have renewed their commitment to continuing these efforts,” referring to the recent bloody sectarian clashes in southern Syria that killed more than 1,200 people in a single week.
