Those who follow the speech of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan yesterday, especially those concerning the issue of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, believes at first glance that the Turkish President didn’t disclose anything & his speech & talk about the incident of the murder of the Saudi journalist in his consulate in Istanbul on October 2nd, Didn’t give observers what they expected, after media preliminaries that preceded the speech days before & the announcement of the Turkish president himself that he will during his speech will reveal much about the incident & its details.

Without a doubt, the Turkish government has managed the case in a very smart way with much of what has not been announced yet, which will remain secret until certain or should I say the right time, with using the method of a systematic infusion of some information from time to time.

Anyone who expects that the Turkish president will stand & start telling a detective novel & reveals secrets in a Hollywood dazzling way is sadly mistaken & I advice them to find something else to do in their lives rather than telling us & play the role of political analysts & experts.

They must reconsider their understanding level.

The Turkish president is a man of politics with a merchant mentality in managing things.

He only reveals what is necessary & sends signals that only the people who are involved in the case will understands.

Those of course if they are smart enough which I personally don’t think so.

It should also be remembered that Khashoggi’s case affects not only Turkey & Saudi Arabia, but even the United States & the public opinion around the world & it’s likely that Turkey has put in its hands a set of pressure cards that will be able to obtain much by them from the United States and even Saudi Arabia without making any concessions to its sovereignty.

Away from the narrative, here are ten points that were very important in Erdogan’s speech that observers must pay attention to:

  1. The speech was not imprecise, it was written, so every word in it was carefully crafted.
  2. The acquittal of Saudi King Salman from the crime, without the discharge of his Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, that, the young prince’s neck is in the hands of his father, who was not aware of what was going on & also the hands of both Erdogan & Trump, which means his future quest to become a king will be subjected to certain measures, with putting into consideration billions of dollars that will be paid to the United States in return for forgetting the case, or at least take bin Salman out of charge him with the crime & charge some his followers guilty with the crime.
  3. The Turkish president has demonstrated the potential of his country & has established an important Turkish role in the region, not only by having pressure cards that will manage crises & issues throughout the entire region, therefore, each card will have a price that will benefit both himself & Turkey.
  4. The Gulf States are now at the mercy of Turkey as well, today, Kuwait & Qatar have signed military agreements with Turkey and there is a Turkish military presence in the two countries.
  5. The Turkish president’s statements about the involvement of a second state in Khashoggi case, the intended state is the United Arab Emirates, so Saudi Arabia & the UAE are in an embarrassing situation & we will see in the upcoming days how the two countries will be blackmailed.
  6. When the Turkish president proposes to prosecute 18 Saudi men who have been charged with the crime in Turkey “on the ground that the crime took place” rather than Saudi Arabia, while ignoring the subject of that Saudi consulate is a land under Saudi sovereignty according to diplomatic laws, which means that Turkey has the upper hand above all, even the international law.
  7. Turkey will not be subjected to extortion any day from any side on issues affecting Turkish sovereignty & the country’s strategic interests.
  8. Saudi Arabia is now not a sovereign country with threatening to turn the case to an international tribunal, so Saudi regime can be subjected to questioning & even overthrowing, drained financially not only by the United States but by the entire world (still 9/11 is a sword on their necks via JASTA Law).
  9. Turkey is not expected to receive a bribe from anyone to keep silence, which was confirmed after the New York Times revealed the nature of the offer made by Prince Khaled Al Faisal, King Salman’s adviser to the Turkish president during his visit to Turkey in order to close the case of the murder of Journalist Jamal Khashoggi, where the newspaper quoted a source close to the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan that Al Faisal offered to end the siege of Qatar as well as offering Saudi financial inducements & investments in Turkey in return for closing Khashoggi’s case, “The temptations of Faisal included assistance to improve the situation of the Turkish economy resulted by the crisis of the Turkish lira as a result of the dispute & the US sanctions because of the issue of Rev. Andrew Brunson, who was already released from Turkey, the source quoted as saying that the Turkish president responded to the Saudi’s offer in an angry manner & said it’s a political bribe that could not be accepted by Turkey.
  10. Since Erdogan didn’t revealed what was expected to be revealed means that the case will not be closed anytime soon with some people like the Saudi Crown prince will keep seeing Erdogan angry face & Trump’s bullying him for more money or else …, & finally the face of Khashoggi’s singing to him “You gonna pay, you gonna pay”.

Returning to the most prominent revelations revealed by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in his speech on Tuesday, with new information has not been disclosed officially before, on the murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi inside his consulate in Istanbul.

  • The murder plan began on September 28, when Khashoggi visited his country’s consulate to extract documents.
  • On October 1, 3 Saudis arrived in Istanbul via a regular flight & then went to a hotel.
  • Another delegation from the consulate on the same day made an exploratory tour of the Belgrade Forest in Istanbul & areas in the state of Yalova.
  • On October 2, another Saudi team from Riyadh arrived in Istanbul in 3 groups & went to a hotel.
  • A third team of nine people, including generals, arrived in Istanbul via private jet.
  • The hard disk of the surveillance cameras was unplugged & moved away, so nothing will be known about what really happened in the consulate at that day.
  • Following contact with Khashoggi’s fiancée, the Istanbul Security Directorate rushed to ensure that he did not leave the consulate.
  • No action has been taken against the consulate & its staff due to their diplomatic immunity status, in accordance with the Vienna Convention.
  • Put all consular staff in one room in the building on the grounds that there is a check in the consulate.
  • On October 4, Saudi Arabia denies the killing of Khashoggi, & the General Consul opened the doors of the consulate to Reuters & acted in a very careless way in front of the cameras.
  • The evidence revealed Khashoggi was brutally murdered, & this would seriously hurt the conscience of humanity.
  • On October 11, a Saudi delegation arrived to investigate the case.
  • On October 14, Turkish President Erdogan makes his first call with King Salman.
  • On October 15, the Saudi General Consul in Turkey was dismissed from his position & returned to his country.
  • On October 19, Saudi Arabia officially confirmed Khashoggi’s death inside the consulate “with a quarrel”.
  • The 18 persons arrested by Saudi Arabia are the security team of 15 persons & three consular officers.
  • Ask the Saudi authorities to disclose those involved in the crime from the bottom to above.
  • Blaming some security & intelligence officials will not be reassuring to Turkey & the international community.
  • The crime was in accordance with the scheme, & Turkey has strong evidence to prove it.

Finally, we have to say that the murder of the Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi will have great consequences that are going keep revealing in these upcoming days, weeks perhaps months to come, which will undoubtedly cause the fall of many heads & put some countries in the region in their normal size after some of those countries during the period before tried to play roles that is far beyond their actual size & capacity, even the money they spend in many of their works will be heavy & most will reach the pockets of US President Donald Trump very soon.
