General Amos Yadlin: Israel might face of a full-scale war in the north against Iran, Hezbollah and Syria this year

Former Israeli General Amos Yadlin said that the main threat in 2019 is a comprehensive war in the north against Iran, Hezbollah and Syria.

The Israeli channel 7, said on Saturday evening that former General Amos Yadlin, the former head of Israeli military intelligence, explained that Israel might face a major military problems and obstacles, the most important of which is the threat of the northern region, especially by Hezbollah and Iran inside Syria, his country will face something different from the previous confrontations and his country should prepare for it.

“Israel is very strong, yet Israel has to prepare for a military confrontation on two fronts at once, which has not happened since the yom Kippur war in October 1973”, he said, adding that when the war broke out, there was a danger that his country would lose aircraft.

“When this war broke out, there is a risk that we lose aircraft, as you attack Syria in the face of an improved air defense system, and this is what happened when they shutdown an Israeli F16 in February 2018”.

General Yadlin, who heads the Center for National Security Studies at Tel Aviv University, said there was an opportunity to contact the Russians in Syria, as in September last year, indirectly.

There is also a chance that the Iranians, the Syrians or Hezbollah to shoot at Israel, as in May last year.

“With the assumption that there is a position in which Hezbollah and Iran will attack us and so on, what will happen?” Asked Yadlin.
