Syria welcomes the return of embassies, but will not beg for anyone to return

Syrian deputy Foreign Minister Ayman Sousan welcomed the return of Arab and foreign embassies to Damascus, but said that his country would not beg anyone to reopen its embassy, stressing that the European decision is dependent on America.
“Whoever closed his embassy in Damascus without permission and wants to change his decision based on another approach to the terrorism that hit Syria, we welcome this, but we do not beg for anyone to return”, Sousan said in a press statement last week.
“Many Western diplomats accredited in Syria hear positive and positive words from them.
They even say that Damascus is safer than Beirut and they are eager to return to Syria, but the decision is still up to their governments and their subordination”, he said.
“There is no independence for the European decision, but for the United States, in this way, Europe has put itself on the sidelines”, he said.
He said: “There is a conflict and confusion in the US statements, and when they are based on Barr we will respond to them”.
“The statements of many French officials have become subject to ridicule and ridicule even by their allies”, Sousan said.
“Those who have accepted the role of the compasses cannot pretend to talk like adults”, he said.
“The first is to France to take care of its own problems and calamities that exist in its country and solve it before putting their nose in the affairs of others”, he concluded.
