The former Shura Council member of Hay’at Tahrir al Sham (HTS), the Saudi Abdullah al Muhaisni, left Idlib to Türkiye after the state of security chaos in the areas under HTS influence.

Local sources in Idlib said that al Muhaysini no longer moved as before in the province for months, especially after his rejection of the way in which HTS leader Abu Muhammed al Golani and his supporters manage the areas under the control of Hay’at Tahrir al Sham, the increase in security chaos, and the spread of killings and liquidations there.

Information from Idlib indicated that information confirmed that al Muhaisini moved his place of residence to Türkiye weeks ago, and he returns to Idlib only when there is religious activity related to his center for “Jihad” advocates, and his movements are calculated.

He was last seen last April inside the Shoaib Mosque in the city of Idlib.

Muhaysini is now wary of being hit by liquidation bullets after the differences between him and al Golani, who seeks to dismantle the factions and monopolize the rule, which led to the dissipation of the project to establish an “Islamic state” with the increase in cooperation between Hay’at Tahrir al Sham and the intelligence of some foreign countries to liquidate a number of militants residing in Idlib.

Muhaisni had resigned from the Sharia Authority of HTS in April 2017, during the fighting between Hay’at Tahrir al Sham and other factions in Idlib.

Muhaisni, who was one of the most prominent “Muftis” of “al Nusra Front” before changing its name to Hay’at Tahrir al Sham, is considered one of the main officials responsible for inciting foreigners to enter Syria during the war and carrying out suicide bombings that claimed thousands of victims and injuries.
