Egypt banned the entry of Syrians from all countries of the world
Egypt issued new instructions, banning the entry of Syrians coming from different countries of the world.
In this context, Egyptian authorities issued warnings to travel and airline companies not to accept any Syrian passengers on flights coming to Egypt from various countries around the world, except for holders of temporary residency for non-tourism purposes in the country.
This came a few days after a decision was issued to stop the entry of Syrians holding European, American and Canadian residency into the country without obtaining security approval.
The time that the decision included stopping allowing Syrians holding Schengen visas to enter Egypt.
It also included preventing the entry of Syrians married to Egyptians without security approval.
Since last month, following the fall of the regime of former President Bashar al Assad on December 8, Egypt has begun facilitating the return of Syrians residing on its territory to their country.
It has also affirmed its commitment to providing all necessary facilities and support to Syrians so that they can return to their country.
