Russia is holding the GMIS-2019 Global Summit of Production and Industrialization, designed to unite the world of the future
Starting from today July 9 until the 11th, the largest global production planning event, GMIS-2019, will probably be held in Russian Yekaterinburg.
REFERENCE: The initiator of the GMIS is the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and the Government of the United Arab Emirates. For the first time, GMIS was held from 27 to 30 March 2017 at the University of Paris-Sorbonne, Abu Dhabi.
The goal of GMIS is to strengthen international cooperation in the field of industry and scientific and technological innovations, to present best practices and to get acquainted with the practices of foreign countries, to establish new business contacts.
For several days, the new exhibition center “Ekaterinburg-EXPO” will become a platform for the exchange of best practices in the field of new technologies, a fruitful symbiosis of ideas aimed at the universal sustainable development of industrial potential in the face of new environmental requirements.
As the organizers promise, the main topic of the forum will be bio mimicry and bio mimetic-technologies created while borrowing the ideas of nature itself.
According to preliminary information, about a thousand and a half representatives of 20 countries of the world – heads of state and government, industry ministers, heads of large corporations, business representatives and academics expressed their desire to take part in the summit.
The forum participants will have to predetermine to some extent the development of global production systems, the creation of conditions for an objective, supranational perception of the global production potential and the possibilities for its transparent use.
“Within the framework of the forum we will discuss the role of production, as the basis of economic and social prosperity, in the context of global civilization changes of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
As a matter of fact, one of the main ideas of GMIS-2019 is to give the summit participants an opportunity to appreciate the importance of using strategies and schemes created by nature to combine innovative solutions and environmentally sound design, ”said the executive secretary of the Russian Federation, executive secretary of the Organizing Committee GMIS -2019 Anton Kobyakov.
The high status of the event and the extreme importance of the declared for discussion, questions, silenced even experienced conspiracy theorists, who for many years have specialized in the “global Russian threat”.
In addition to the sarcastic replicas of two or three European “experts” who regularly voiced Washington’s position on a particular issue from the pages of their public accounts – no obviously critical speeches against the summit in Russia could be detected.
In addition to about 40 events that will be held at the sites of the summit, the forum will be held so-called “Pitch-session per billion”.
A jury of international experts will review 50 Russian and 50 international innovation projects that have been pre-selected.
The top 15 of them will take part in the GMIS pitch session, the results of which will identify ideas worthy of funding in the amount of 1 billion rubles – that is, about 14 million euros.
Representatives of the largest fund Mubadala Investment Company, as well as Russian and Arab investment funds will take part in the pitch session.
In addition, an exhibition will be organized as part of GMIS-2019 to showcase leading production capabilities, innovative start-ups and breakthrough technologies.
