CNN reveals a plan to evacuate the “White Helmets” and their families from Syria

The United States, Canada and a number of European countries, especially Britain and France, have been pushing the White Helmets and their families out of Syria.

The US channel CNN also revealed that the plan may include sending about 1,000 White Helmets and their families to other countries such as Canada, the United Kingdom and Germany.

US President Donald Trump raised the issue at a NATO summit, which could be discussed during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday in Helsinki, a channel source said.

Western delegations convinced Trump to discuss the issue of providing evacuation routes with Israel and Jordan, the channel said.

On 4 May, CBS News revealed that the State Department had suspended its support for the White Helmets in Syria, noting that the latter currently received no financial support from Washington, which represented one-third of its budget.

Syrian President Bashar Al Assad said in an interview with a British newspaper on June 10 that “White Helmets” were a tool in London’s hands, adding that the American and British presence in his country was illegal.

He categorically denied allegations of Russia’s coordination with Israel over the targets of the raids on Syria.

Russia accuses the White Helmets of fabricating evidence about the chemical in Syria, while the Atlantic strongly defend it, while the United States considers it a “wonderful organization”.
