Clashes are continuing between the Kurdish militias and the Syrian government backed national defense forces
Multiple sources in the Syrian city, Qamishli confirmed that “three of the auxiliary forces were killed, during the ongoing clashes in Qamishli, one of them is the brother of the commander of the Baath Brigades in Hasakah”.
A source from the “Baath Brigades” stated that “Qaher Haloush,” a member of the brigades, and brother of Salem Alloush, the commander of the Baath Brigades in Hasakah, was killed by a sniper bullet, during the ongoing clashes in the Tay neighborhood, which the Asayish was trying to enter.
Another source that “Maher Muhammad Kreish, a member of the National Defense Forces, was killed on Wednesday in the clashes as well”.
The source added that a member of the “Local Defense”, “Ahmed Salem al Mardoud,” was also killed today “while confronting the attempt to storm the neighborhood”.
The source said that the pace of clashes is escalating in the city and increasing in intensity, and confirmed that the areas close to the clashes are witnessing displacement, and indicated that the “National Defense” has advanced to the “Afran al Sham” area.
The city had witnessed clashes since yesterday evening, after the “Asayish” forces tried to prevent “Abd al Fattah al Laylo, the commander of the National Defense Brigade, from entering the city, and “a linguistic altercation occurred that developed into a fist fight between Abdel Fattah and the Asayish.
Immediately after Abd al Fattah withdrew into the neighborhood, “Asayish fired at the National Defense checkpoint and the clash took place at ten o’clock at night,” according to what it quoted from its sources.
The “Asayish” confirmed the killing of one of its members, Khaled Hajji, commander of al Wahda checkpoint in the city.
