Burkina Faso’s Defense Minister, General Kasoum Coulibaly, handed over to the country’s army new military equipment, obtained with full funding from the Burkinabe people and also thanks to Egyptian cooperation.

This equipment includes 7 armored ambulances, 40 relief trucks, 20 fuel tankers, 4 armored pickup trucks, 2 armored buses, and 2 crocodile armored vehicles.

Minister Burkini explained that this military equipment aims to enhance the operational capabilities of the army, which has been confronting armed groups for years.

The interim President of Burkina Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, handed over 10 Turkish-made marches to the army about a week ago, and on this occasion, he praised the partnership between his country and Türkiye, describing it as “healthy and honest”.

Since Traoré came to power following a military coup in September 2022, the country has strengthened cooperation relations with new partners such as Russia, Türkiye, and Iran, ended military cooperation with France and expelled its forces from its territory.
