Ansar Allah group targets Israeli depth with 3 Quds 5 missiles and confirms the success of the operation
Yemen’s Ansar Allah group (Houthis) announced on Wednesday that it had targeted military sites deep inside Israel with three Quds 5 cruise missiles, a day after Iran missiles attack.
Ansar Allah spokesman Yahya Saree said in a brief statement that “in support of the Palestinian and Lebanese resistance, the missile force in the Yemeni armed forces carried out a military operation targeting military sites deep inside the Zionist entity in occupied Palestine”.
While he didn’t specify the timing of the launch, Saree indicated that the attack was carried out with three Quds 5 cruise missiles, noting that the missiles were able to successfully reach their targets, “while the enemy kept quiet about the results of the operation”.
The announcement comes a day after Iran confirmed that it had fired 200 hypersonic ballistic missiles at Israel, in an attack that Israel said it had effectively repelled and vowed to make Tehran pay the price for.
In this context, Saree praised the Iranian “Operation True Promise 2” which the Revolutionary Guards said came in response to the assassination of Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah last week and Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in July.
Since November, Ansar Allah has continued to launch missile and drone attacks, first on commercial ships in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea that they believe are linked to Israel or heading to its ports.
