“There is no objection to the YPG (the military wing of PYD) to join the Syrian army according to specific understandings”, said the official of the diplomatic relations committee of the Kurdish units, Aldar Khalil.

Khalil said on Friday that their negotiations were continuing with the Syrian leadership and Russia to send military forces to the border with Turkey, according to information transmitted by Kurdish news agencies.

Khalil renewed the rejection of “Kurdish units” the return of Peshmerga forces (belonging to the Kurdistan region of Iraq) to their areas, and said in this regard, “we don’t discuss this issue with anyone”.

Kurdish sources also said that “the Syrian leadership requires the handover of all areas under the control of “units” and work with them as other Syrian combat groups such as national defense and others.

The leader of the Kurdish National Council of Syrian opposition Fuad Aliko, said in his account on Facebook that “a project put forward to Turkey and the Kurdistan region to deploy Peshmerga forces and the forces of the stream of tomorrow known as the (elite), which follows Ahmed Jarba on the border with Turkey instead of the forces of PYD To prevent the Turkish invasion of the north of the country, “pointing out that the leadership of PYD rejected that project”.

“Ahmed Al Jarba recently visited Turkey to discuss the project with Turkish officials and the project is still in place until now, but PYD insists on rejecting it”, Aliko said.

“PYD accepts Syrian forces and Arab tribes but totally rejects the presence of Peshmerga forces on the border with Turkey”, he said.
