Ali Khamenei responds to Trump with a picture: Beware of the fall of Pharaoh
Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has responded to US President Donald Trump’s threats to Iran, saying that the latter will fall like a pharaoh, on his account on X, attaching his tweet to a drawing of a shattered pharaonic sarcophagus that includes a drawing of Trump.
Khamenei wrote on X, “that man who sits arrogant and arrogant and issues his judgment on the whole world, should know that the tyrants and arrogant people in the world, such as Pharaoh, Nimrod, Reza Khan, Mohammad Reza and their ilk, usually fall at the height of their power… This will also fall”.
According to the drawing attached to the tweet, there was a pharaonic sarcophagus that included a drawing of Trump inside a room that resembled a pharaonic tomb, and the sarcophagus was smashed and around it were some broken stones as well, which bear American logos and flags.
Khamenei’s tweet comes at a time of escalating US threats to Iran, especially the most recent one when Trump threatened very strong measures against Iran if he continued to “kill protesters”.
“It looks like they’re starting to cross red lines,” Trump said.
“There appear to be casualties that weren’t meant to be killed… These people are violent if we call them leaders, I don’t know if they are leaders or just people who rule by violence… But we are looking at it very seriously, and the military is looking at it as well… And we’re considering very strong options… We’ll make a decision,” Trump added.
Meanwhile, and according to US officials, Trump will receive a briefing from senior officials in his administration on Tuesday about options for dealing with the protests in Iran.
Tuesday’s meeting will discuss possible steps, including military strikes and the deployment of sophisticated cyber weapons against Iranian military and civilian sites, further sanctions on the Iranian government, and the promotion of anti-government online sources.
In parallel, Israeli media reported on Monday morning that US warplanes were flying close to Iranian airspace, which could indicate a possible military strike on Tehran.
According to Israel’s Channel 14, the number of US warplanes has increased near Iranian airspace, as US warplanes have been seen flying in its vicinity.
