After the attack on Yemen… Israel mobilizes its forces and prepares for response

Israel’s Channel 12 reported that there was a fear of a Yemeni response after the Israeli aggression on the port of Hodeidah.

Channel 12 pointed out that there is a high alert of the Israeli weather’s weapons, throughout Israel.

The Israeli navy raised the alert level in the Eilat area following the attack.

Alon Ben-David, a military affairs commentator at Channel 13, said, “There is an understanding in the Israel that we may enter days of exchanging blows with Yemen”.

“We may see more significant ballistic missile fire as well, and Yemen have that capability, and also for drones, because that’s relatively an easier threat, and it needs a lot of time to intercept it”.

“There is an understanding that this attack will be responded to with a Yemeni attack, and there is a willingness in Israel for this,” he said.

According to Israeli media, Israeli ministers received a personal summons from the head of the National Security Council in order to prevent the leakage of information before the attack, and asked them not to tell anyone about the summons to an extraordinary meeting at the headquarters of the Ministry of Security.

Israeli media reported that the political-security cabinet is obliged to approve an operation that could lead to war, because here of course there is the possibility of a significant response.

Therefore, it required the approval of the political-security cabinet.

Channel 12 reported that such a move was coordinated with the United States, as well as with everyone in the region, so that they know and aren’t surprised.

The session lasted about 4 hours, at the end of which the cabinet approved an attack on Yemen.

After the meeting, Netanyahu, Defense Minister Yoav Galant and Chief of Staff Herzi Halevy were in the Defense Ministry’s command room during the attack on Yemen.

Israeli media reported that during today’s attack, Israeli fighter jets launched 10 raids on the port of Hodeidah.

Israeli ministers in the small council criticized their call to a meeting as the fighter jets were on their way to Yemen to carry out the attack.

Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich attended the session and did not participate in the vote because he was invited to attend after the process began.

Israeli media reported that Galant told the US defense secretary on Friday night that there would be a response in Yemen.
