
The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that the defense ministers of the Russian Federation, Syria and Türkiye held talks in Moscow to discuss ways to resolve the Syrian crisis, and the need to continue dialogue to achieve stability in Syria.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense statement: “On December 28, tripartite talks were held in Moscow between the defense ministers of the Russian Federation, the Syrian Arab Republic and the Republic of Türkiye, during which they discussed ways to solve the Syrian crisis and the refugee problem, and joint efforts to combat extremist groups in Syria”.
The statement indicated that “after the meeting, the parties referred to the constructive nature of the dialogue that took place in this way and the need for its continuation in order to increase the stability of the situation in Syria and the entire region”.
The Turkish Ministry of Defense had announced that the Turkish Minister of Defense Hulusi Akar and the head of the Turkish National Intelligence Hakan Fidan, had arrived on an official visit to Moscow to hold important talks with their Russian counterparts.
