Germany’s packaging stock has shrunk due to rising energy prices, which has led retailers to search for new packaging materials.

The German media reported, according to what was translated, that retailers especially online, no longer have enough cartons and packaging materials for the coming months.

The reasons are summed up in a significant increase in energy prices, which led to the imposition of restrictions on the production and shipment of these materials.

And if prices continue to rise, the crisis of packaging materials is looming.

A survey showed that 25% of companies don’t have the necessary funds to deal with the huge rise in the prices of cardboard used in the manufacture of carton boxes and packaging materials.

According to the German media, some merchants will resort to wrapping their shipments with kraft paper instead of boxes, until another solution is found or the current crisis ends.
