A Former Saudi intelligence official claims Prince Mohammed bin Salman forged the king’s signature to launch war on Yemen
The BBC reported, citing a former Saudi official, that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman forged his father’s signature on the royal decree to start the war against Yemen.
In an interview with the BBC, Saad al Jabri, a former Saudi intelligence official now living in Canada, claimed that Prince Mohammed bin Salman signed the royal decree declaring war on Yemen instead of his father.
“We were surprised to find a royal decree authorizing ground intervention… The crown prince forged his father’s signature on that royal decree, as the king’s mental state was deteriorating,” Jabri told the BBC.
Jabri, who claimed that the Saudi regime was seeking to assassinate him, said that the prince considered assassinating the former King Abdullah using a poison ring from Russia, which he claimed in an interview with CBS News in 2021.
He also spoke of his fears that the crown prince still wanted to kill him because his sons were still imprisoned in the kingdom, saying, “He planned to assassinate me… He won’t rest until he sees me dead… I have no doubt about that”.
Saudi Arabia didn’t respond to a request for comment on the shocking report, but Jabri, who has been at odds with the kingdom for years, previously worked for the former crown prince, Mohammed bin Nayef, and had sued Prince Mohammed bin Salman in a US federal court, alleging that the crown prince sought to kill him after he fled abroad.
