The White House is closely monitoring the Iranian attack on Al Udeid Air Base
The White House announced that it is closely monitoring, along with the US Department of Defense, the Iranian attack on Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar.
A senior White House official told media outlets that they are aware of potential threats to Al Udeid Air Base and are closely monitoring the situation.
In his first respond after Iran’s attack on the US Al Udeid airbase in Qatar, President Donald Trump didn’t address the issue, instead referring to fake news about the results of US strikes on Iran.
Trump wrote on his Truth Social account, “The sites we hit in Iran were totally destroyed, and everyone knows it… Only the Fake News Media says otherwise, trying to downplay it as much as possible — and even they said it was ‘very well destroyed!”
Earlier, the US embassy in Qatar called on its citizens to head to shelters and safe places after Iran announced it had targeted Al Udeid Air Base with missiles.
The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced in a statement earlier on Monday the temporary suspension of air traffic in the country.
