Global financial markets have been rocked by a violent shock over the past few days, suffering massive losses exceeding $9.5 trillion in just three days—Thursday, Friday, and Monday—as a result of the continued escalation in the US-led trade war.

According to a report published by Bloomberg, investors have resorted to random selling, fearing the repercussions of the tariffs that US President Donald Trump insists on implementing.

Coinciding with these losses, shares of the largest technology companies on Wall Street—known as the “Giant Seven”—recorded a collective decline, wiping approximately $2 trillion off their market value.

These companies include: Apple, Microsoft, Nvidia, Alphabet (owner of Google), Meta (formerly Facebook), Amazon, and Tesla.

The losses deepened after prominent technology analyst Dan Ives cut his stock price forecasts for Apple and Tesla, warning that tariffs could lead to real economic disaster.

Trump, meanwhile, maintained his hardline stance, rejecting any trade negotiations with China and urging investors to bear the consequences.

Tesla’s stock was the hardest hit, falling 7% to $223, the largest single decline among the major companies.

Shares of Apple, Alphabet, and Microsoft also fell to their lowest levels in a year, with Apple’s stock falling 4.8%.

These companies alone accounted for the bulk of the losses in the S&P 500, which lost more than $5 trillion in just two trading sessions.
