Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan warned of the Israeli invasion of Lebanon and its impact on the stability of the region, noting that the distance between Hatay in southern Türkiye and the Lebanese border doesn’t exceed two and a half hours by car.

Erdogan added in a speech he gave, Tuesday, before the Turkish Parliament on the occasion of the opening of the new parliamentary year, “Israel is transferring the ongoing terrorism and genocide from Gaza to Lebanon, and is seeking to transfer the fire to the entire region”.

He continued, “So far, the world has not issued any serious response to the Israeli attacks on Lebanon, as well as to the killing of about 42 thousand people in Gaza… Despite the crimes committed by Tel Aviv, some countries continue to support Israel’s terrorism”.

The Turkish President stressed that “what Israel is doing is an extension of what Nazi Hitler did,” noting that “just as Hitler was stopped, Israel and its prime minister will be stopped, no matter how long it takes”.

Erdogan explained that the international community didn’t meet in the name of humanity, and no Islamic alliances were formed to confront Israel.

Although Hamas agreed to ceasefire proposals several times, the Israeli government rejected these initiatives and continued its war of extermination and expanded the circle of conflict.

He added that Israel, motivated by the myth of the Promised Land, doesn’t stop at Palestine and Lebanon, but its plans extend to the region and our country as well.

Erdogan stressed that the attacks carried out by the Zionist lobby won’t stop us from expressing our positions.
