Biden’s fate will be decided by the Democrats in this upcoming 48 hours!

Democratic sources told CBS News that dozens of Democratic lawmakers are expected to issue statements in the next 48 hours calling on President Joe Biden to withdraw from the presidential race.

According to sources, this layout is coordinated and some of the statements have been written in advance.

Sources point out that after Biden’s disastrous performance and numerous gaffes at the conclusion of the NATO conference, it seems unlikely that any new statements from him could reorient events.

The Democratic leadership in the House of Representatives told members that they must express their views.

One informed source predicted that the coming days would be very harsh and it might become impossible for the president to continue the race by next week.

The sources pointed out that congressional leaders aren’t expected to speak publicly or try to replace Biden by force, in order to avoid a public rupture with the president.

However, there is recognition that public calls from the leadership may face stiff opposition from the president.

No number of defections from Democrats seems to change the president’s mind.

So far, more than a dozen House Democrats and one Democratic senator have publicly called on Biden to end his bid for re-election.

One source noted that one of the few factors that could persuade Biden to reconsider his candidacy is the argument that his legacy could include distorting the Democratic Party and its electoral chances.

Multiple sources have indicated that the only two people able to effectively deliver this message are his sister Valerie and his wife, Jill Biden.
