The German Foreign Minister arrived in Odessa on a visit that wasn’t previously announced for security reasons, and this came in the context of the recent events taking place in the region.

On Thursday, the German House of Representatives voted by a large majority against a draft resolution calling on the German government to provide Ukraine with Taurus cruise missiles.

Despite this, another draft resolution calling for providing Ukraine with long-range weapons was adopted without mentioning Taurus missiles.

Reports indicate a deterioration in relations between Moscow and Western countries, including Germany, in light of the current events in Ukraine.

This comes in the context of the Russian military operation in Ukraine, which received significant support from Western countries for the Kiev government.
