Zelensky sets one condition for opening the door to negotiations again with Russia to end the war

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reiterated his rejection of negotiations with Russia before the withdrawal of Russian forces.
Zelensky said in an interview with the British Sky News on Thursday, that the talks will only be possible if Russia withdraws its soldiers, admits its mistake, and a new government is formed in Moscow.
The Ukrainian president had already banned negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin, according to a decree he signed at the end of September 2022.
Zelensky stressed that meeting Putin is meaningless, “They don’t want to talk, and that was the case even before the invasion… It was President Putin who decided that,” Zelensky added.
Zelensky said that he is convinced that Ukraine is only the first step for Putin, and noted that before the war there were meetings with the Russian president.
“I saw a man say one thing and then do another,” Zelensky added.
